VOMO High End Multimedia Music Box
This little boom box uses Vibration Technology to deliver very high quality sounds. A 3.5mm plug enables you to connect any cell phone, tablet, iPhone, iPad or other MP3 players to it. Fill your Micro SD card with music too, there’s a slot for your card! This unit is also a FM receiver.
By placing this VOMO on any solid surface, you turn that surface into a speaker. Use your glass table, coffee table or any other solid surface to listen to your favorite music with awesome sound.
The surface you chose will become your speaker. The choice you make for your playing surface will determine the clarity of your music. We have found that glass surfaces vibrate with the greatest range and best quality.
When you place your VOMO on your solid surface your music is crisp and clear. If you pick it up, the volume significantly drops.
The VOMO measures 9cm wide by 5cm high. Comes complete with an audio cable, charging cable and IR Remote Control. The lithium battery included with this unit charges from any USB port, in any computer!
One of the benefits of being in the technology business is that when new gadgets come along, we get to try them out! I’m very excited about this sound advancement and was very surprised at the quality of the tunes it’s playing. This unit really needs to be heard in order to understand its full potential. These are going to sell like hotcakes!

Just One Twitter Experience:
When the idea of being more involved in the social media aspect of the Internet for my business, I was very skeptical. What could Twitter and a Facebook page do for me, worldwide?
I felt it was reaching too large an audience, when my goal was to get people into my store in Orillia and be their repair or sales store! The Internet is a huge place, here are the most current World Internet Usage Statistics News and World Population Stats http://www.internetworldstats.com/stats.htm. I’m in a population of about 30,000! I did not realize there were so many hand held devices in use and active computer and social media users in my area.

I had to share the experience of servicing a computer that hasn’t been moved or serviced in quite some time.
I couldn’t help notice the ring of dust around the power buttons and tray areas of the DVD drives. I knew dust was going to be an issue! When I opened the case, a few dust bunnies fell out!
- The heat sink on the CPU (processor) is coated in a layer of dust.
- The fins of the fans are bogged down.
- The hard drive enclosure and wires are coated with dust.
- The power supply is not ventilating well either.
As you can see this machine hasn’t had an internal cleaning in a very long time. Most people don’t consider their computer is breathing in all this dust and the consequences. Pets are a contributor to the accumulation too. Cat and dog hair are sucked inside by the computer’s fans along with the dust. If you have a pet, you should have your computer cleaned more often.
Computer fans are spinning to keep your computer cool. When they accumulate all this dust, the task of cooling becomes an issue. This customer was experiencing their computer randomly shutting down. It can be caused by either a hardware failure, software or environmental failure, such as: a bad stick of RAM, failing hard drive, bad power supply or a virus. In this case it was just dust!

In the past month I’ve had a couple of Dell laptops in the shop for service. One of them needed to have Microsoft Windows 7 reinstalled. I was horrified when I couldn’t locate the COA (certificate of authenticity). I contacted Dell, who weren’t any help at all. I asked them why there’s no COA on this laptop? They started a service ticket. I went ahead looking through forums only to discover that Dell now puts their COA underneath the battery! Who would have thought to look there? It’s actually brilliant to do this because many laptops come in for service and their COA is worn right off the label. In this case it’s imperative that the customer has their Recovery DVD’s (which they usually don’t). So good job moving the COA, Dell, but you should let your folks know this. I hope other manufacturers will follow your move and keep those COA’s readable.

Recently in Orillia, there have been a few computers that have fallen victim to a phone scam that has been making it’s way around for a while now. You may receive a phone call from someone saying that your computer or laptop has errors or virus’s. They claim that if you turn your computer on and allow them access (they will walk you through the process), boom they’ve got all your data. After this your computer will not be the same. Trust me that no one will phone you to fix your machine – trust your instict, you’re gut is usually right! When you do get this phone call, tell your friends, tell your neighbors, tell everyone you can. Awareness is key.
